Welcome Fall! We would like to THANK THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE: Larry & Carol Birch for the donation of coffee; The August Fish Fry workers and those who donated desserts; The Chicken BBQ workers, people who donated desserts and salad ingredients, the people who donated extra vegetables (corn & tomatoes), the workers who helped prepare the salads, and the men who cooked the chicken; and Betty Gniech, Carol Maas, and Sue Green for helping to manage euchre.

From the President…Wow! We have certainly had a busy summer at the Boosters Club! I just wanted to thank everyone who helped in any way at any of the events! If you provided a dessert, worked at one of the dinners, helped with breakfasts, donated paper products to the club, played euchre, or in any way helped out, just wanted to say thanks in a big way! We will be having a “Work Day” at the club on Oct. 18 starting at 9 a.m. It would be great if we had a big turnout for this, there’s a lot to do and the more hands we have, the easier on everyone! We still have a pork dinner in October and euchre goes all winter long except for the month of December, so keep coming and having fun! Carol

The numbers for Sept. were great: Breakfast we served 106 adults and 7 kids, and the Chicken BBQ we served 82 adults and 3 kids. Thanks again for all of the help. We could not put the breakfasts and dinners on without your help and support!

Our Fall Euchre continues through Nov. 21. October 14 is our General Membership Meeting where everyone is welcome, Also Sat., October 14 is our Roast Pork Dinner. We serve at 4 pm and take out is available. November 18 we are having a Bake Sale at Jay’s from 9 to 3. If you do not want to drive to Jay’s to drop off

your bake goods, the club will be open on Fri., Nov. 17 from 9-11, to drop them off and we will take them to Jay’s for you.

Our Thanksgiving Basket Donation Deadline is Fri., November 3. You may drop off non-perishable food at the club, when we are open or at Fairchild & Green’s Office. We do accept cash donations to help buy the meat and other foods that are not donated. Thanks in advance for your help with this project.

I am sad to tell you that longtime member Glen List passed away Aug. 10. He enjoyed playing euchre through the years at the Club. Our condolences go out to his wife, Laura and family.

Our 2017 Members of The Year are Elaine and Duane Updyke. They have been very active for many years. They have helped at our dinners, donated items to the club, and played euchre. Duane has been our resident electrician and welder through the years. Elaine makes the best pies for our dinners. Congratulations, we appreciate all that you have done to make our club better.

Our Annual Party was a fun time. We need to thank Gary & Carol Maas and Mike & Sue Green for hosting the party and donating the door prizes. Sandie did a great job with the meal and thanks to Gary Akin, who grilled the brats.

THANK YOU: to the Trap shooters, who come out each week to support the club and enjoy shooting, Gary Maas and Mike Green for their work with Trap, Bill Wallace and Eileen Coleman for working at Trap.
