THANK YOU: Tom Krchmar for removing the old ceiling fan and repairing the roof where it was; The August Fish Fry workers and people who donated desserts; and Gary Maas for running Trap and the shooters for supporting the club.

At our Annual Party this past summer Mike Green was awarded A Lifetime Membership. He is a past president and longtime board member. Mike was always willing to help with our projects and played a lot of euchre with us through the years. Mike passed away Sept. 25. Our condolences to Sue and his family.

From the president… Wow, August sure went out with a bang! Severe storms ripped through the area and left us (at home) and at the Boosters without power for 5 days. Due to this we had to cancel what is usually a very busy wk. end for the Booster Club! LOTS AND LOTS OF THANK YOU’S! I just wanted to give a shout out to anyone that volunteered to work that wk. end in any capacity! Your willingness to help does not go unnoticed! I also would like to thank Pat Swanson for stepping up to take over for Mike Green on the board. Thanks to Marshall Swanson for keeping the lawns looking great this summer! The next big thing coming up is our Thanksgiving baskets that the Boosters provide for area needy. We are accepting donations of dry goods and canned goods at the club and cash donations for this are also accepted. November also brings our Bake Sale at Jay’s. Please see the drop off day and time elsewhere in this newsletter if you can help us with baked goods! Thanks to Betty Gniech (and sub Sue Green) for running euchre! Also, thanks to Eileen Coleman and Bill Wallace for all the help running trap this summer! Carol

We needed to cancel the Swiss Steak Dinner in Sept. because Sandie Mann, our Kitchen Manager, had back surgery. She is recovering nicely.

For the Thanksgiving Baskets you may drop off your canned goods or money when we are open for euchre on Tues. nights between 6 and 9 pm. or at Fairchild and Green Realty. The money donations are used for meat. Our donation deadline is Nov. 1. Thank you to the members who have donated food and money so far. Your help is greatly appreciated and we could not do this project without your participation.

The Bake Sale at Jay’s is Tues., Nov. 13 from 9-3. The drop off the Bake Goods at the Club, if you do not want to take them to Jay’s, is Mon., Nov. 12 from 9-10.

There are no Breakfasts for the months of Jan., Feb., or March. Our next Breakfast is Saturday, April 6, 2019. Fall Euchre continues through Nov. 27. We will start Winter Euchre Jan. 8. Euchre is open to the public and doors open at 6pm with cards starting at 7pm.

A BIG Thank You to the people who donated money to the Boosters Club in Memory of Mike Green. The money will be added to our scholarship fund.
